A WORD OR TWO FROM THE CAPTAIN.
Oh dear, not a great start to the season - thrashed, by the newcomers to the league Langford. We put them into bat and after a promising start (3 for 70 off 20) They proceeded to take to our attack with some relish, albiet on a very small ground, finishing with 210 all out and Dan Mobley going to casualty with a split chin. Their opening attack was tight and good, pining Mike and Richard down for 12 overs before the first wicket fell - Mike for 12 runs. This was to be the top score, giving you some indication of the carnage to follow. Six ducks later (including several 1st ballers) saw us all out for 47! Mmmm more application needed against Cirencester thgis week. Practice on wednesday (11th) at Bradstone.
Cheers
Mike G
